Allie is getting ready for her shift as usual. All she has ever wanted since she was a young child was to be a nurse. At twenty-six, she is a nurse in the hospice unit at a hospital. Most nurses who work this unit have a special way with the patients and the families of the dying.
Allie’s mother died of cancer three years ago, and her father died when she was just two. She has no living family members. Her coworkers have become her family. Her best friend, Bree is like a sister to her. This is all until a strange man appears in her life and changes all her negative feelings on love and marriage.
Alex Smith will make her happy and break her heart.

M. A. Cole is the youngest of six children, and she has always wanted to write. She became a nurse and retired after forty years in service. Her daughter got her into reading after a tragic time in her life. She read everything she could get her hands on. After several years, she thought of going back to what she really wanted to do.
She loves to think about different people and their journeys, and she loves her daughters. They, especially the middle one, are very supportive of her new adventure.
