Blessings of a Mother to a Son is Kamal Krishna Lahaâ€™s autobiography. It narrates his hindrances and successes. His motherâ€™s bravery helped him succeed. His father had to increase his loan because of the dowries his family had to pay for his auntsâ€™ marriages and because they took care of his uncles.
The book also narrates the general economic condition and tragedies in India at the time, such as the Bengal famine in 1943 to 1944 where three million people died.
