About The Book

Can't See Around Corners is a story about two fraternal twins, Sharon and Annie who are born into opulent wealth and are the only children of Edna and Warren Karce. The girls have accomplished studying for their degrees and look forward to their once-in-a-lifetime trip to Europe. The sisters' love for one another is obvious to the bystander, but a sinister undercurrent of malicious feelings dwells profoundly beneath their façade of shared contentment. Once abroad and with their hypervigilant parents absent, penetrating treachery, deceit and wickedness develop intensely between the girls and their relationship advances into the vilest possible nightmare, changing their lives forever. The discovery of an ancient mysterious pendant formerly owned by Vlad the Impaler from Dracula's Castle begins an epic spiral of demonic incidents that traumatize not only the twin's lives while in Romania but has the ability to penetrate their family's existence back home in Australia.

How will the highly famed socialite dynasty survive the unforeseen satanic impacts created by the menacing pendant, integrated with the discreditable exploits from the once idolized and respected daughters of the Karce Empire?

About The Author

Josie Townsend was born in regional NSW Australia, the eldest daughter of five children. Her life as a single parent has been a challenge. She is raising three children after her husband's suicide which left her with many associated difficulties. She began writing as a form of expressing her feelings and frustrations. She has recorded her life's journey, and it has developed into her first novel which is based on a true story. As a great fan of Steven Spielberg and Stephen King novels and movies, she changed genres and began writing supernatural thrillers based on other cultures, myths, legends, and folklore. She feels that writing fictional stories is liberating as she enjoys bringing imagined characters to life. The reader develops intimacy and grows along with them. She loves telling thrilling stories and will continue to write suspenseful, enthralling, and creepy novels. When she was much younger, she had a car accident and lost sight of her left eye, so she is a vision-impaired writer, but she endeavors to follow her heart's desires and keep moving forward in life. She never lets life's hardships hold her hostage.

Every dream starts out as a thought, and if you apply motivation and your skills to the talents that you were blessed with, that's when ideas can turn dreams into reality.
