Confused Realities

Confused Realities

by Darren Stoneburgh

About The Book

  • Confused Realities is a collection of poems and lyrics that Stoneburgh started writing about thirty years ago. He likes to write about the inequalities that seem to permeate throughout the country, from racial ignorance and bigotry to the fact that the people who are supposed to represent us seem to never have our collective interest at heart. We never challenge the things we know to be true or false anymore.
Lies that damage our country should never be tolerated nor repeated. We need to demand honesty and accountability from all elected officials. Stoneburgh writes what he feels and what he sees as an assault on all of us and on our democracy.

About The Author

Darren Stoneburgh is a fifty-three-year-old divorced father of four beautiful children—Amanda, Chassity, Jessica, and Charlie. He also has four beautiful grandchildren. He is a ten-year veteran of the United States Army and served during the first Gulf War in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. He was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, with the “Hell on Wheels” 2nd Armored Division. He was also stationed in Germany for four years and in Fort Carson, Colorado, and Fort Devens, Massachusetts.

Stoneburgh was born and raised in the beautiful state of Michigan. He still lives there. His father and three brothers and their families are also still in the area.

He is a believer that we all should do two for the country. It would make us a collectively better nation. The United States Army allowed him to see the world and how awesome this country really is. We should never let that be undermined by anyone. We are lucky to have the opportunities this land offers.

Stoneburgh also loves old Pontiacs, playing guitar, classic rock music, craft shows, yard sales, flea markets, swap meets, and writing.
