About the author
Dr. Alex Tang (B.Sc, M.Phil, and DBA), a long-time analyst, had worked for several large companies since 1980, including China Light & Power, the HK Productivity Center, Levesque Securities, Dao Heng Securities, Yamaichi Securities and the Core Pacific-Yamaichi International. He coined the terms ‘Red Chips’ and ‘Red Chip Index’ in 1992. Since 2000, he had written five books on stock evaluations. He has been teaching Technical Analysis at the HK Baptist University since 2012.

The book presents a roundup of tools in technical analysis. The major targeted readers are university undergraduates and investors who want to have a basic understanding of the nuts and bolts related to technical analysis. The book first discusses some basic and traditional tools and then moves on to study the more advanced mathematical techniques, like neural network and program trading.
