Michael J. Washington served four years in the U.S. Navy before spending more than thirty-two years in the weather industry. He has studied meteorology and geology, and he's also skilled in human resources, training development, performance management, workforce planning, facilitation, diversity issues, and equal-employment opportunity programs. This is his first book. He lives in Bowie, Maryland, with his wife, Dr. Glenda Washington. He has three daughters and three grandchildren.
