The human journey is formidable. It is fraught with unbelievable challenges throughout the crooked path. It requires courage and a focus forward thrust to find our way to the end.
As if that wasn’t enough stress, it requires that we each take responsibility for where we are on our path. If we don’t like where we are, it is up to us to change it.
No matter what hand each of us is dealt, we have to take on the burden of making sense of it and finding a way to live with it however long our journey lasts.
The journey will not be a fair one. That is a basic ground rule of humans on our planet. We will need to understand that there is a great disproportion of people who love us from those who don’t care about us at all. This appears to be a fact of the human condition.
Greed appears to be a major motivator of human beings. It is about having and enjoying the most of whatever it is we desire. Sometimes those desires take us to dark places. When that happens, it is still our responsibility to find our way back to the crooked path.
Living and owning our journey is not for the faint-hearted.
