About The Author

Karen J. Tapp is a businesswoman. She also works as an x-ray technician. She is the author of a book about a mallard duck, which her sister Kathy told to her and her family. She loves to babysit children and would tell the story about Molly the mallard duck. She vowed to herself that if ever she found an illustrator, she would publish a book to share the story to many children. About fifteen years ago, she hired Karen Welch, a cake decorator, to work in the business she and her husband owned. She then wrote the book, and Karen worked in the evening, painting thirty-two watercolor paintings for the illustrations.
