ROBIKA

ROBIKA

The Adventurous Hungarian (Part 1)

by Louise Andrea Dube

About The Book

This book is based on a biographical story about a commoner boy named Robika and how his adventure unfolds in a roller-coaster ride of emotions that spins off when the German Army closes in on Hungary. He is drafted into the Hungarian Army.
As WWII ended, he then worked as a spy for the American Embassy and got drafted for the Russian Communist Army but got caught.
At the time of the Hungarian Uprising, the Soviets offered to release Robika provided he became a secret spy for the Russians, which he accepts, becoming a double agent, only to give the Soviets useless information because his heart lies with the Americans.
The story weaves important parts of history as it narrates many known and hidden facts during World War II and the Communist Regime in East Europe.
