Two Sons

The story of the prodigal son comes alive as each of the characters in the story steps out of a “picture” and tells his part. The picture depicts the moment of the father welcoming his “lost” son home; the basis of the parable as told by Jesus and recorded in Luke 15. The father, younger son, and older son are included, with a faithful servant added to help narrate the story and connect the parts. It is a dramatic way to present the parable and its meaning, useful for a church program or for Bible study. The unmerited love of the father \nis the main theme, but sin, repentance, hope, justice, mercy, and resentment are also represented in this classic story.
