Symphony had an identical twin sister that she dearly loved. They were very musical, even had their own band. They did almost everything together, I say almost but not everything. At their 13th birthday party, they were introduced to alcohol. Once was enough for Symphony but not for Melody. She was determined to do it all. She and her boyfriend went deeper and deeper even getting into drugs. At 17 Melody was killed in a fatal alcohol-related accident. Symphony was left alone with half of herself torn away. Follow her in the struggle she encounters to first recover and then renter life in this short story detailing a growing, severe problem among teenagers, alcohol and drugs.
Enter with her as she is drawn into the fascinating empire of an ancient grapevine she takes refuge under in dealing with her sorrow. Deep within its interior all the little residents work to the rhythm of an ever-changing song, the song of the grape. The ancient mother of this vine must help her before Symphony is gone forever. How would you cope with the loss of your one and only soulmate? How will Symphony? Could there be some sort of a happy ending to the trauma of her great loss or are some stories just too sad to write?
